Gay-Coded Male Intimacy
A man holds another man close and sings “It’s Raining Men” into his ear, using gay-coded innuendo as a throwaway gag.
Homoerotic Teasing Between Ken and Dan
The film frames Dan’s unrequited crush on Ken through homoerotic teasing: Ken says he loves Dan but clarifies that he means platonically, while Dan spoons him as they sleep beside each other, one in only trunks. Their relationship turns same-sex intimacy into recurring innuendo rather than presenting them as an explicit couple.
Female Attraction Played as Inn uendo
A female rival ogles Chun-Li’s thighs and leers flirtatiously while putting gum in her hand; the scene leaves open whether she is genuinely attracted to Chun-Li or merely taunting her. That ambiguity supplies the film with same-sex flirtation for comic innuendo.
Male-Directed Attraction as Gag
M. Bison calls a male fighter a “pretty, handsome boy” and grows agitated while describing his attractiveness. The exchange leans on homoerotic innuendo as part of the film’s joke-driven sexual politics.
Women as Martial-Arts Fighters
Women take active combat roles, including kicking multiple men and throwing a dagger. The film presents women as physical fighters in its martial-arts action.

Woman as Fighter and Infiltrator
Chun-Li is a combatant who secretly works for Interpol and infiltrates M. Bison’s inner circle. The film puts a woman in the fighter-and-operative role, a gender-role inversion presented as routine.
