Wokeness

Minimal

A couple of light references, nothing that drives the story.

Audience

Dust Bunny mocks Christian rituals, turning sacred Mass into a pop-dance spectacle and depicting church theft to fund murder. Subtle anti-Western jabs and a nod to abortion taint its otherwise unpretentious horror, but it mercifully skips the usual DEI drivel.

What earned the score

  • Mocking Sacred Mass as Entertainment

A Catholic Mass scene features a priest and nuns dancing to a pop version of the Lord's Prayer as collection plates circulate, portraying worship as mere entertainment.

  • Stealing Church Funds for Murder

Aurora steals money from a church offering plate to pay the hitman for eliminating the monster.

Details

Ten-year-old Aurora asks her hitman neighbor to kill the monster under her bed that she claims ate her family. To protect her, he must battle an onslaught of assassins while accepting that some monsters are real.
