Minions & Monsters (2026)

What earned the score

• Male Monster in Feminine Attire

A male monster summoned by James wears a coconut bra and grass skirt, and later someone pulls the skirt down. The review explicitly identifies this as LGBTQ messaging.

• Strong-Willed Suffragette Character

Debbie is a strong-willed suffragette, and the film includes her as a prominent character, explicitly tying the narrative to feminist political identity.

• Minions Marching for Women's Vote

Minions are depicted marching in support of the women's vote, an explicitly feminist political demonstration included as a plot element.

Details

This is the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.

Funny family film. Odd robot relationship but mostly good.
