What earned the score

  • Spoiler Reveals a plot point

    Girl-Power Battle Showcase

The film’s climactic battle includes a conspicuous “you go, girl” visual centered on its female superheroes, presenting women fighters as a celebratory girl-power showcase and signaling the franchise’s turn toward identity politics.

  • Women as Combatants

Women occupy the film’s combat roles: a woman fights a large creature with a sword, two women fight each other, and women use weapons or energy attacks in battle. This normalizes female action-hero roles while the plot centers on reversing the timeline.

  • Woman Cast as Warrior

Natasha, formerly a Soviet assassin, is now an Avenger and a central superhero. The film places a woman in the traditionally male fighter role.

  • Passing Same-Sex Identity Insert

A man in Captain America’s support group says he is taking “baby steps” toward seeing another man, signaling a gay identity through a brief same-sex romantic reference. The moment functions as an identity-politics insert rather than a developed narrative thread.

Parents Guide

  • Violence Moderate

A masked man fights numerous people on a street and in buildings (people are stabbed and gunshots are heard). He then fights a man, slicing his throat. Although the action is not directly seen, blood can be seen trickling down the man's neck onto his hand.

Hawkeye and Black Widow fight each other on the edge of a cliff so the other person doesn't have to be the sacrifice for the soul stone. Eventually, Black Widow decides to sacrifice herself, resulting in her tragic death. There is a lot of blood beneath her head. This is an extremely emotional and intense scene, and adding to the fact that Black Widow is a much beloved character by the fans, only makes it even worse.

Thor struggles as he has his weapon, the Stormbreaker, driven into his chest, he can be seen screaming out in pain as it begins to cut beyond his armor. Very disturbing.

In a scene, Bruce Banner wields the Infinity Stones and snaps his fingers to bring those affected by Thanos' snap in "Infinity War" back to life, which causes him immense pain and he immediately loses his right arm after it's permanently injured. We later see the physical, severe burns that the stones have caused on his arm.

A character is impaled through the chest from behind and dies.

During the battle at The Avengers' headquarters, the final battle between The Avengers and their now restored allies against Thanos, numerous filler characters/minions die, including getting blown up, tossed about, stepped on, impaled, blasted or shot, etc. None of it is bloody or dwelt on, less so than the climactic battle of Wakanda in "Infinity War", but it's still rather intense and it has an even higher body count.

A character returns from battle, covered in blood.

In one scene a male gets a shuriken thrown at his face, we then see five to six others get stabbed or sliced by a sword.

Tony Stark is mortally wounded after snapping his fingers in an intense confrontation with Thanos. His entire body has severe burns, and it's all shown in gruesome detail, complete with several sores and blisters all over his body and later dies from this, as his grieving wife, Pepper Potts, and his friends mourn his death. This scene is very emotional and disturbing.

A characters stabs an enemy repeatedly in the back with daggers with a little bit of blood spraying each stab. (Blood is purple)

  • Profanity Mild

A few blasphemies, such as "God" and "Jesus". GD is used twice.

9 uses of "s**t", 7 uses of "hell", 5 uses of "ass", 3 uses of "d**n", 2 uses of "godd**n", 1 use of "b**tard", and one use of "Jesus".

    "Suck," "god," "jesus," "crap," "p**s," "hell," "d**n," "ass," "b**ch," "b**tard," "d**k," and "s**t" respectively.

    9 uses of "s**t", 2 uses of "p**s", 1 use of "crap", 2 uses of "d**khead", 1 use of "b**tard", 5 uses of "ass", 6 uses of "d**n", 7 uses of "hell"

Some uses of s**t and d**n.

Son of a b**ch,about a dozen of s**t,a few uses of ass,2 uses of butt, idiot is used three times, hell,d**n,d**khead, about 5 uses of godd**n and word b**tard is used in a song in the movie.

  • Drugs Mild

Thor is seen drinking A LOT of beer and alcohol and you can see supplies outside and around the house. He looks for a drink numerous times throughout.

Thor, Korg and Miek are seen drinking alcohol while playing "Fortnite".

Thor shows sings of PTSD after Thanos by drinking, and the toll it payed on his health is clearly shown.

    Thor is an alcholic person.

Thor amenaza a "NoobMaster69" con arrancarle los brazos y meterlos en su culo.

  • Frightening Scenes Moderate

A scene where a ship opens fire on a building and we see characters inside the building struggle is quite intense.

The death(s) of major character(s) can be very emotional.

In one particular scene, some monsters chase a Clint down a dark tunnel. It can be frightening for younger viewers.

Iron Man and Black Widow dying can be very emotional.

The ending, despite being bittersweet, is very emotional.

This is a dark and bleak film, and despite its fair share of comedic moments and being much more optimistic than "Avengers: Infinity War", the whole film has the tone, look and feel of a dystopian movie. There's also a persistent sense of hopelessness throughout the film, making the tone even grittier.

The opening scene where Hawkeye loses his family to the snap is very emotional.

The characters are trapped under debris after Thanos Destroyed avengers headquarters. We see them gasping for air trying to escape.

The background music plays a high part in the movie, as it can help accompany the scenes, ranging from somber music, eerie music, and of course, the classic Avengers theme song.

The scene where Hulk uses the Infinity Gauntlet to snap his fingers in order to change the timeline can be seen as very intense and scary for some viewers.
