The Fix (2026)

What earned the score

• American Operations as Institutional Harm

The film depicts U.S. operations sacrificing expendable assets and burying damaging secrets, with former CIA operatives left to reckon with the consequences. That casts American intelligence work as a source of harm, not merely the mistake of one rogue official.

• Iranian Gender Restrictions as Feminist Foil

The film depicts women forced by law to cover their hair and captured by the Iranian state for supposed offenses against God; an Iranian woman then challenges Tucker’s rescue narrative by asking whether he wants to put her in a bikini and post her online. This frames the regime’s control of women as oppression while complicating the assumption that American society is automatically liberating.
