Black Phone 2 mostly avoids Hollywood's woke pitfalls, delivering thrills without DEI drivel or feminist lectures. However, subtle anti-Western jabs and mockery of Christian guidance—via dialogues ridiculing Bible-quoting women as devilish—sneak in, undermining traditional values with unnecessary cultural snark.

What earned the score

  • Biblical Ridicule Mocking Christians

A woman quotes the Bible to urge the teen girl to focus on 'lovely' things while the girl insists on pursuing truth, resulting in the woman accusing her of devilish influence.

  • Anti-Christian Dialogue Critique

The film features criticism of unhelpful 'Christians' as part of its dialogue and character interactions.
